A Useful Augmented Triad Trick
This trick might work for you when learning the triad inversions.
Because of the symmetrical nature of the augmented triad, we can use it as a starting point to quickly find the three major and minor triad inversion shapes.
If we lower any note of the augmented triad shape, we form a major triad. The note that we lower into will be the 5th of the closed voicing major triad.
If we do the opposite and raise any note of the augmented triad shape, we form a minor triad. The note that we go up to will be the Root of the closed voicing minor triad.
