Let's Test Your Fretboard Vision

Now the fun really begins as we start testing your fretboard vision using the 2 shapes studied up to here: the E-shape and the D-shape.

As I demonstrate in the video lesson, I'd recommend working through the following stages to build your confidence in playing in one area of the fretboard:

• Root Notes
• Barre Chords / Triad Forms
• Arpeggios (picking quarter notes - 8th notes)
• Pentatonic Scales (picking quarter notes - 8th notes)

The key thing here is to be able to switch between the different shapes, whichever string you find yourself on as the chord changes.
